Depending on where you know me from, I go by many names. Jena the Poet, Jena the Dog Lady, Jena the Environmentalist, Jena the IT nerd, Jena the Musician.

As I learn to shed and regrow these different names, I thought I would try on Jena the Poet for a while. I started writing poetry in 2023 as a way to process some of the things I was going through in my life.

Through poetry, not only did I discover a world of kind, supportive people, but I realized when I was able to share how I was feeling with others, it made me feel a little less alone.

And my hope is that my poems help you feel a little less alone, too.
